She was HR Director at Marriot in San Francisco, USA
She has a lof of experience in HR and a lot of enthusiasm to give.
Barbara Asare is a Human Resources coach and trainer in employee engagement, leadership and career development. She was the Human Resource Director for the Marriott Marquis Hotel, San Francisco until June 2016; where she was responsible for people development, training, organizational development and recruiting. She worked closely with Marriott leaders to assist them in developing talent for the future and meeting the needs of Marriott’s business building initiatives. She also motivated, trained, mentored and coached associates of the housekeeping team which resulted in record levels of employee engagement.
During her career at The Ritz Carlton and Marriott Hotels, Barbara gained extensive knowledge of Marriott’s diverse business operations and professional disciplines.
Barbara joined the Marriott Hotels and Resorts Operations team in 2004 as a Housekeeping Manager in Washington D.C and progressed through different roles. In 2010, she joined The Ritz Carlton, Washington D.C as the Employment Manager and was later promoted to Assistant Director. In 2013, she moved to San Francisco as the Director of Human Resources.
Barbara holds a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island, US; a Master’s degree in human resource management and an organizational development certification from Marymount University, Washington, D.C.
